William was born in Flint Michigan, however his family traded one coast for another and they found themselves in the sunshine state of California. it is in California at the age of seven where William found his love and passion for art. Being a self taught artist has allowed him the freedom to experiment with various mediums. Having a passion for working with Pen & Ink, William also enjoys working with Acrylics, Colored Pencils, Graphite Pencils, Soft Pastels and rounding it all out with Oil Pastels. William is currently employed as an art instructor for a local organization within his community that serves an eager population of special needs students.
William’s love for pen & ink being partnered with the technique of pointillism has earned him countless awards locally and abroad. William has said that he likes to capture the viewers attention by captivating their curiosity in order to stop and be drawn deep inside the painting often times seeing something entirely different than what he himself or others might see. William draws his inspiration from his family as well as everyday life, and has several drawings and paintings in private collections through out the country.
